What is Microblading,

Nano Brows & Lip Blushing?

With Lip Blushing, the color will heal 30-50% lighter. Leaving you with a natural, more defined looking pout!

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent, method that deposits pigment into the upper layer of the epidermis. Microblading is not like traditional tattooing. Microblading provides hair-like strokes to mimic the natural hair. Microblading allows the artist to correct, reconstruct, or enhance your natural eyebrow. Many of my clients feel it gives the illusion of a natural face lift!

WHAT ARE NANO BROWS?

Nano Brows is the leading technology on the market and provides the same effect as microblading above but is MUCH healthier for the skin, lasts longer and is less invasive.

WHAT IS POWDER-FILL AND SHADING?

Powder fill gives the illusion that you already have your brows filled in with brow pencil or powdered makeup.

Shading is similar to powder fill, but tends to look more natural, giving you the look that your brows are filled in while still seeing the microblading strokes. Shading can be done as light or as dark as the client desires. We can also do a combination of microblading and microshading which is what I done to my own brows!

WHAT IS LIP BLUSHING?

Imagine rolling out of bed with perfectly pouty lips each morning with your favorite shade of lipstick. Lip blushing will make your lips look slightly more pronounced, shapely, and voluminous, too. Lip blushing is a form of cosmetic tattooing in which pigment is deposited into the skin to enhance the shape, symmetry, and color of the lips.

HOW LONG DO THE BROWS DOES IT LAST?

Due to microblading not being implanted deep into the skin like traditional eyebrow tattooing, they will naturally fade over time. Microblading typically lasts 9-18+ months depending on skin type - whether the client is oily, dry, normal, and client’s age. Results are dependent upon how closely the post care instructions are followed. Everyone’s skin takes and holds pigment differently.  Avoiding sun exposure, exfoliating the skin in the brow area, chemical peels, glycolic acid, retinol around the brow area will help prolong the pigment.

HOW LONG DO THE LIPS LAST?

Lip Blushing lasts 1-3 years before an annual colorboost is needed.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED A TOUCH-UP / COLOR BOOST?

With Microblading, touch-ups/color boosts are recommended every 12-18 months to keep the the shape, the color fresh and strokes crisp. The shape must be visible to qualify for the touch up pricing otherwise it will be full price if the strokes and shape are not visible. Microshading/Powder fills tend to last more along the lines of 12-36 months.

DOES IT HURT?
I like to keep my clients comfortable with a topical anesthetic that is applied throughout the entire procedure. Most people do not feel it at all once they are numb. I have even had clients fall asleep during the procedure.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The procedure takes roughly about two hours to complete.

DO I NEED A CONSULTATION BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT?

No, your consultation will take place the day of the appointment. Please see the what to expect on the day of appointment section link here >> What to Expect

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY PROCEDURE?

Once you have booked your appointment, I will email you all the information you need. Letting your brows go au naturel for 1-2 weeks before the appointment (no tweezing, waxing or removing the hair) is ideal so I can see how the hair grows naturally. Clients can come to the appointment with or without makeup. Sometimes it helps to see how you like to pencil in your eyebrows but pictures will work as well.

WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE RIGHT AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Your brows may appear darker and possibly thicker than expected for the first few days. This is normal due to how the skin heals. The color and edges will gradually lighten up to 60% as they heal.

DO I NEED TO TAKE A DAY OFF OF WORK?

No. Redness will go away within an hour after but it is normal for the brow area to be red and sore for a day up to a few days. Your brows will appear darker initially the first 2-5 days after the appointment.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

Healing time varies based on the person (usually about 7-14+ days).

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT A COUPLE DAYS AFTER THE APPOINTMENT?

It is normal to experience some pigment loss during the healing process; this is why we have the perfecting session/touch-up in place. The perfecting session is where we access the final color and shape. The perfecting session will be done 6-12 weeks after the first session. Once the touch up session is complete - your brows will at the preferred saturation level!

WHAT IF I'VE ALREADY HAD MY EYEBROWS MICROBLADING OR TATTOOED?

Please contact me if you have your eyebrows tattooed by another artist.

HOW DO WE DECIDE ON AN EYEBROW SHAPE?

When choosing an eyebrow shape, I take many things into consideration such as face shape, facial features, facial measurements through brow mapping, growth of your natural hair, ect… Then, we consider your preferences on brow shapes you like. I will draw them on and you and I will adjust and agree on the shape before we begin!

WHAT DOES THE SHAPING PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

I use a technique called Brow Mapping - your bone and face structure always tell me a story on where your brows should be for symmetry. Brow Mapping is always a team effort between myself and my clients. I use a wax pencil and draw on your shape. I then have you sit up and then we continue to refine the shape until it’s exactly what you like! When we both agree, we start the process.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT COLOR TO USE?

We always match to the natural color of your brow hair. I have many color options and we can mix to create your perfect color combination if necessary.

IS THE PERFECTING SESSION / TOUCH-UP NECESSARY?

YES! Microblading is a two-step process. Everyone’s skin heals differently and the outcome will vary. More importantly, your perfecting session is when we access the final shape and color to give you your dream brows!

WHAT SHOULD I NOT DO AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

You are advised to keep the skin clean and dry while it is healing. That means no swimming, sweating, or otherwise getting the area wet. Semi-Permanent Cosmetics can be professionally removed with Saline - so salt from sweating is not ideal until they are healed to avoid severe pigment loss. Avoid extreme heat and contaminated bodies of water such as sauna, Jacuzzis, steam rooms, pools, lakes, and places with hot humidity until healed.

No tanning or prolonged sun exposure. Please do not pick or peel the semi-permanent cosmetic. You can still wash your hair and face and once they’re healed up, you treat them as your own. I advise my clients to use a tattoo specific SPF or wear a hat/viser if out in the sun for longer than 30 minutes.
